•          A virus-HPV(Human Papilloma Virus)

               HPV 16, HPV 18 is the cause of  >75% of Cervical Cancer

•          Large number of women get HPV infection sometime during life time (80% by the age of 50).

•          There are no symptoms – you may not know you have it

•           Majority would clear infection without developing any disease.

•           Few women develop precancerous lesions and cervical cancer over a period of time (few months to 9 years).

•          We don’t know which ones will!

Cervical cancer vaccination is a safety measure which can prevent this cancer from happening

सामान्य  सेल 

-यह सेल लगातार विभाजित होते रहते हैं, और अपनी विशेष क्रियाओं को करते हैं. 
-यह अपनी उम्र खत्म होने के बाद मर जाते हैं. 
-नए सेल उसकी जगह आते हैं  प्रक्रिया चलती रहती है. 

कैंसर  सेल 
-यह सेल कुछ अनोखे होते हैं। 
-इन्हे विभाजित होने के बाद अपना काम करना नहीं आता। 
-यह मरते भी नहीं।
-लगातार बढ़ते जाने के कारण यह एक tumor या गाँठ बना देते हैं. 
-इनके आस पास के  सामान्य   अंगों को नष्ट कर देते हैं. 
-और आगे जाके इनका प्रवाह रक्त में भी होता है और दूर दूर के अंग जैसे दिमाग,हड्डियां,यकृत (liver ) इसकी चपेट में आ जाते हैं और उनका कामकाज भी बंद हो जाता है।
